Volcano Peaks Safaris Rwanda is a Kigali-based safari and travel company creating private, tailor-made journeys across Rwanda and East Africa. We connect travelers with mountain gorillas, savannah wildlife, rainforests, lakes, culture and city experiences through carefully planned itineraries, dependable transport and personal local service.
We are based in Kigali, which means the people planning your trip are the same people who know the roads, the parks, the driving times and the seasons first hand. From airport arrival to the final transfer, we coordinate routes, accommodation requests, park activities and day-to-day logistics so guests can travel with confidence.
Every journey we sell is private. You travel with your own vehicle, your own driver-guide and a route built around your dates, your pace and the experiences you actually care about.
What we arrange for you
We handle the whole trip, not just one part of it. A typical booking with us includes some or all of the following:
- Gorilla and golden monkey permits in Rwanda and Uganda.
- Chimpanzee tracking permits and forest activity bookings.
- Park entry fees, game drives, boat trips and guided walks.
- 4x4 safari vehicles with an experienced English-speaking driver-guide.
- Airport pick-up and drop-off at Kigali International Airport.
- Accommodation booking at the comfort level you choose, from value lodges to premium lodges.
- Cross-border road transfers between Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.
- Kigali city tours, cultural visits, coffee and tea experiences and hiking days.
- Day-to-day support by phone and WhatsApp for the whole time you are with us.

How planning works
There is no fixed price list on this website, because two travelers with the same dates rarely want the same trip. Instead we quote privately, based on what you actually book.
- 1. You tell us the basics. Your travel dates, how many people are travelling and the countries or parks you have in mind.
- 2. We check what is realistic. Permit availability, driving times, park opening arrangements and the season you are travelling in.
- 3. We send a proposed route and a private quotation. Day by day, with the accommodation level you asked for.
- 4. You adjust it. Add days, remove days, change lodges, change the pace. This stage is free and there is no obligation.
- 5. We confirm and you travel. Once you approve, we secure permits and bookings and stay reachable throughout your journey.

Responsible tourism
Gorilla and chimpanzee trekking are only possible because the parks are protected and the rules are respected. We follow park regulations on group sizes, distances, trekking time and behaviour, and we expect our guests to do the same. Our guides brief you before every activity so nothing comes as a surprise on the day.
We also work with local suppliers, guides and community experiences wherever we can, so that tourism income stays in the areas travelers come to see.
